I've been doing photography for ages... but pretty seriously for the past 7 or 8 years. My passion is landscapes, urban, night photography and light painting.
This picture was taken of my by Tom Hide. I chose this as my deviantID and avatar because for me this is photographic paradise. Being out on a rocky outcrop at dawn with the ocean all around you and moody dramatic storm clouds... It just doesn't get any better than this!

Hi folks
You may have seen my earlier journal about the magic of discovering new photographic locations in Sydney. Well on Monday 3 of us made the descent to this beautiful location (that I have nick-named Canyon X after the "secret" slot canyon in Arizona) We all had fun taking some images of this gorgeous little place. The photos will be posted in a few days, but for now you may want to check out the video at my blog http://brentbat.wordpress.com
I will shortly write up a photoguide on the location for all to use.
For now I'm still keeping it quiet until I can shoot a bit more there (the weather has been lousy of late).

You may not believe this, I didn't, but this weekend I discovered a brand spanking new photographic paradise in Sydney. I've been shooting seascapes for years here and thought i knew all the good sites.
But I was wrong. I don't think there is anywhere else in the world like Sydney for seascapes. We are so spoiled.
